Lifestyle | Intu SS18 Blogger Challenge

Hi,

Following on from my post on Tuesday here is the second part of the SS18 Intu Blogger Event! You can read the first part here.

So, after seeing all the gorgeous clothes, makeup and Lush products at the event it was time to do the final part, the challenge. I've done a few of these before and I always look forward to them. It gives me a chance to see what's in the shops and then persuade Mr C to take me back so that I can shop!

The challenge was to find three capsule pieces for your wardrobe for this season. Your three items can be absolutely anything to do with fashion and something which you think will be your staple throughout this season and into the next to rock all the latest trends. In addition to that  find a statement piece which is on your lust list for the season and is extra special!

My first stop was Debenhams, I found so many pieces in there and plenty to fit me as well. First of all is this gorgeous dress from Nine by Savannah Miller. It is perfect for the floral SS18 trend and would definitely be a versatile piece in your wardrobe right through until the winter where it would be perfect layered up with a chunky cardigan and long boots

White Floral Dress - Nine by Savannah Miller - £50

My second piece is from Karen Millen. They have the best accessories, I'm always lusting over their bags and these ones are just gorgeous and would go perfectly with the dress above.

Last of all, one of my favourite items I picked and in keeping with the pastel theme are these trainers from Office. Ideally I would love to add both to my shoe collection but, if I had to choose one colour it would be the light cream, they will go with everything! I can imagine them paired with the dress above for the perfect Spring look.

For my Star Buy it was back to Debenhams. Now, this Kimono literally stopped me in my tracks, floral, check, bright colour, check, a must for my SS wardrobe, check! I couldn't resist a quick trying on session and it did not disappoint, I need to go back after payday (keeping my fingers crossed its still there!) I'm wearing a size 18 here and it fits so bear in mind if you do purchase it.

And this why I need the kimono AND the dress in my wardrobe. Hello Spring!

Thank you to intu MK for another great event and giving me lots of inspiration for my SS wardrobe! And thank you to all the brands such as Clinique, Debenhams and Lush that contributed to our goodie bags!

Hi,

As soon as March arrives I am ready to pack up my winter clothes and bring out all the pastels, florals and bright colours!

As I packed away my big cosy jumpers this year I noticed that my work wardrobe was beginning to look a bit too monochrome for my liking. I had read about personal shopping many a time but, unfortunately, didn't know of anywhere nearby that did it. Luckily for me the SS18 Intu Blogger event last week was to introduce us to personal shopping at Debenhams. I had no idea that it was there, pretty bad for someone who loves clothes and goes into Debenhams every time I go to Intu!

The service is free and all you have to do is go online to book. There are different types of services, express appointments (45mins), seasonal wardrobe update, special occasions for the bride and men's appointments. You can find them all here.

We had a preview of some pieces from the womenswear, bridal and men's departments. There were lots of this seasons trends on show such as florals, colour and pastels. I'm definitely lacking in florals in my wardrobe, so when I go for my appointment I'm secretly hoping there will be some on the rail!

A Floral Fest!

There are two personal shoppers in the Milton Keynes store. You can choose from either. The personal shopping section is located on the first floor by the lifts, there is a fire door to the right of the lifts and you can go through there. There is no obligation to buy anything after your appointment. The most appealing thing for me is having someone who doesn't know me pick out the items, I am very curious to see what they would choose!

After trying some of the delicious food which was kindly provided by Loaf and Bloom, the new restaurant inside Debenhams, we headed down to the Dior counter. We were able to have a sneak peak of some of the new lip products.

Afterwards we headed to Lush where it was time to see some of the new spring launches and try not to spend anything!

Now for my favourite part.....the challenge! Now, this will be a super long post so look out for part two coming up later this week!
