February Favourites!

So the time has come again for my monthly favourites post. I have really enjoyed watching/reading about other people's favourites which has inspired me to do my own posts each month!

February was a good month for me, not only was it my birthday and one of the best ones, I also found a new job and got a lot of things done that I never thought I would get finished!

My favourite beauty products for February:

1. Maybelline The Rocket Mascara - I had heard a lot of mixed reviews about this one. I was always quite loyal to my Lancome Hypnose but thought I would give another mascara a try. I really needed one for everyday use as I found that the Hypnose was a bit too much for the day. The Maybelline Rocket is great, I find that it really lengthens my lashes without looking over done and I'm quite happy to wear it during the day. Another plus is that it doesn't make my eyelashes so long that they brush against my glasses (if you are a spectacle wearer you will know what I mean) and then I end up with streaks of mascara on my glasses!

2. MUA Eyebrow Kit - I had never used an eyebrow kit before and it wasn't until I started watching some beauty gurus on youtube that I even realised that they existed! After my mishap of having to pluck my eyebrows myself (no available appointments for a wax anywhere in my town!) I saw this and thought I would give it a go. I love the way it makes my eyebrows stand out and look groomed. The powder is the right colour and the wax holds all the hairs in place. I even checked it later (I used it on a night out) and my brows still looked as good as when I'd done them a few hours before.

3. L'Oreal EverSleek Sulphate Free Shampoo - I saw a free sample of this shampoo in my magazine one day, now I normally throw away samples away as I always think that I will try them and then they end up just sitting my drawer for months even years! This time I had a closer look and noticed that it was sulphate free, I had heard quite a lot about shampoos like this being better for your hair so I thought hey why not try it. Well once I had finished washing and conditioned my hair I was already impressed as it felt so soft. Once I had put the hairdryer through I was amazed, my once frizzy, dry and in desparate need of a straighten afro tresses now looked straighter, shiny and manageble. I love this shampoo and will be going straight onto the website after I have finished writing to purchase some more, at least 6 bottles because I think that if I run out of this I would cry!

Now for some of my other favourites:

After spending so much time watching you tube videos I decided to see if there was anything decent on the tv. I saw two programmes advertised which looked fairly decent, My Big Fat Mad Diary and The New Normal were the two that caught my eye and have kept me hooked since the first shows. If you were a teenager in the late nineties and into the indie music scene then you will understand why MBFND was one of favourites, the soundtrack for the series took me back to my 16 year old, boy crazy and blur loving self! Ahhh the memories!

I also downloded The Trevor Nelson Collection. As soon as I saw that one of my favourite songs, Mary J Blige - Real Love was on it I knew that I had to have this album, so far I have listened to it at least 30 times!

That was all my favs for the month, not a huge list but to be honest February is one of my favourite months so that counts as well!

Did you have any favourites for February?

Much Love
