I can't remember the last time I went to Sainsburys and came out with just food, seriously, their clothing at the moment is just so good!

This blue (my favourite colour) dress caught my eye immediately. I almost put it back as the changing rooms were closed, it is oversized and completely out of  my comfort zone. I'm glad I didn't put it back because I love it.

The material is a slightly thick poly mix which hangs nicely on me. It's described as oversized which almost put me off but this makes this size 22 fit my 24 body well. This is definitely an autumn/winter dress, I know that this will look perfect with thick tights and longline cardigan.

Unfortunately Sainsburys don't make a plus size range anymore, I think it stopped around 2011/2012, they did have good items, I have a black skirt that I got from the range around 2010 which I still wear now.

They also do a black version of this dress.

I've been shopping...I keep saying to myself that I won't buy anymore clothes for awhile and then I see a blogger posting a cute outfit on Instagram and off I run to my laptop, debit card in hand and wondering how I'm going to fit anything else in my wardrobe! Is anyone else the same, please say yes!!

I had seen a few people wearing items from the Dorothy Perkins plus size range and decided to go on online and have a see what other items were on there

I'd been after a midi black skirt for awhile, I ordered a couple from ASOS and New Look Curves but none of them were right so back they went. I spotted this one on the DP website and decided to order it, they also had 24% off for 24 hours.

So, I will get the negatives out the way first. It wasn't until after I ordered that I saw people saying that you need to size up, this is so true for this skirt. The waistband is super tight, it is a real struggle getting it over my thighs, the only way to make it easier for myself was to put on some shaper shorts first and then pull it up, that helped a little but it was still a slow process getting it on especially on a hot evening. Once I had it on the waist fitted perfectly (I'm a size 24) and it draped over my hips better than I expected. The second negative was the fact that it is see through, now for someone who is not so confident about their legs this was a slight issue for me but I loved the way it looked so I decided to keep and show off my legs!

Overall I love this skirt despite the issues getting it on I'm still going to get lots of wear out of it over the summer months.

Style | I'm a 90s Girl

The 90's hey, right now I wish I could transport myself back there, brexit who?  Starting at 1990, a mere 9 years old watching Italia 90 and singing to World in Motion, that John Barnes rap, if you know what I mean here is a silent high five to you. Mid 90s consisted of dancing around my room to any r n b song, discussing boys with my friends; I had a different crush every month or two and TV, I could write a entire post about all the shows I loved!

I first saw this dress on the lovely Lottie, it looked so good on her and reminded me of being a 90s girls. I went onto the Simply Be website that night and placed my order. After a weeks wait I collected it from my local shop, raced home and tried it on.

I LOVE this dress. I know I say that about a lot of items I buy but this is a special one for me. It ticks nearly all my boxes, I'll come back to that. Its comfortable, the right length for me and fits well. I'm wearing a size 24 and I would say its true to size. It does cling to my stomach and bum slightly but that doesn't bother me, I still love the way it fits me.

I'm very tempted to invest in a denim jacket to complete my 90s theme! I even spritzed on some CK One, my choice of scent in 1997/1998, added a beanie and a thick grey cardigan for the oh so delightful British summer weather!
