Style | Loving Lovedrobe

Hi! Its been a long time since I've worn an outfit that makes me feel so good. I've been guilty of wearing the same outfits on repeat, I do this quite a lot when I'm feeling tired and not my usual self. I wore trousers 3 days in a row the other week which is very unsual for me.  When Lovedrobe kindly gifted me this top it got me quite excited about my wardrobe again. I paired it with an old skirt from Tu at Sainsburys. It was the perfect smart casual pairing for a Saturday morning breakfast. I sized up to a 26 in this top as I wanted a loose comfortable fit but I could have easily gone for a 24 and got the same effect. My favourite part of the top is the lace detailing at the top. You can see my bra straps underneath (I don't own a strapless bra), but this doesn't bother me at all. The ruffle under the lace adds another element of texture to the top. I haven't got anything like this in my wardrobe so I'm excited to style it in different ways.

Sunshine and Sand

Hi! Mr C and I recently took a trip down to Truro in Cornwall. It was on our list of places to visit and, even though Mr C had been there before, this was a lot further down that way than I had been before. Unfortunately, travelling took up almost 2 days of our trip so we were only really left with 3 full days, which we made the most of! After a very wet start to the week the sun slowly made an appearance much to our delight. Luckily I took a few pairs of trousers with me but also managed to pack a few dresses as well. This one is a new addition to my wardrobe. After the recent heatwave in the UK I realised that I didn't have enough sleeveless dresses, so I popped on the ASOS website and ordered a couple. This was my favourite one, the other will be in an upcoming post! The dress is by Junarose via ASOS and it was in the sale. I couldn't see it when I looked again though. It's very lightweight which means it is perfect for hot days but no so perfect for win

Style | Back for Good?

Hi! I don't even know how to start this post, I mean it feels like I haven't blogged in so long but, in reality, it has only been about 4 or 5 weeks. Actually, that is quite long I guess in the blogging world. I knew I had to take a break when one Sunday I sat at my laptop for 3 hours and didn't write a thing,  I had pictures that I wasn't quite happy with and the words, they were not flowing. I had a lot of stuff going on in my life along with being quite ill, something had to give and unfortunately it was the blog. I'd also been suffering a huge confidence crisis. I hated all of my wardrobe, I suddenly felt self conscious when I went out and, as it was so hot, I was constantly a hot sweaty mess. My skin had broken out for the first time in years, I just wanted to shut myself away from the world. I also got sucked into that Instagram trap of comparing myself to others, which just made me feel even worse. Its so easy for that to happen when you ha
